I'm going to be buying a velo route in the next few weeks so it'll be good to compare the standard bike brake with the Brompton.

I feel bad about this post because it seems to rank quite highly in Google searches about Bromptons and it fails to point out how awesome I think my Brompton is.
I should point out that Geneva is VERY hilly and VERY wet and snowy. NO brakes are going to be that great in those conditions.
And I really do love my Brompton. With only two perfectly chosen gears, i am able to crush all the hills that Geneva can throw at me. If you're in two minds as to which fold-up to get - it HAS to be a Brompton!
