Neige, Neige, et Plus de Neige

i'm betting that you're going to yawn while reading this.  i'm betting that you're even thinking about yawning right now.  Probably, you're going start yawning before the end of this sentence.  And you know what, i'm deeply offended by this.  Ok, so most of the entries are about skiing and the backgrounds of the photos are largely indistinguishable from one another unless you know the area and i rabbit on about how we skied over yet another French-named run that you've never heard of.  But you don't have to yawn.  That's just rude.  Yawn.

Natalie in a small village on the side of le Crôt we found by following some rather nice off-piste.

We made a new friend today.  His name is Dave and, bizarrely, he just started following us down the Coupe de Monde.  There was a bit of a blizzard going on as the storms that have been battering the UK have finally arrived here (hooray!) and are now smothering us in beautiful, glorious snow.

The wind over the Arete des Intrets was quite exciting and at one point i thought i was going to get blown into the Combe du Machon bowl.

Dave latched onto us probably because he overheard us speaking English and it must have seemed like we knew where we were going.  So after we safely got him off the Arete, which really was the center of a really strong blizzard, he followed us "locals" on some rather good snowy off-piste.

More off-piste and pretty Alpine snow-covered trees.  Just the way we like it.

i guess showing him around was just practice for next week when Andrew, Leena, Celeste, and Jonathan are out here staying with us.  Also, we've now seen our first glimpse of the snow report for the week that they are here and it's starting out super-snowy with 14cm predicted for the Sunday.  Snow-Forecast's 6-day forecast is usually a work of fiction, however, at least for this area, so i don't know if it'll be that much but at least they don't have to worry about a lack of snow.

Tomorrow we're making an attempt at getting on the first lift as the powder is going to be truly epic.
